Description
Nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Davos welcomes skiing enthusiasts to explore its vast and well-linked slopes, laden with the promise of adventure and breathtaking alpine views. As one of the highest towns in Europe, Davos stands at an altitude of 1,560m, becoming a natural haven for skiers seeking high-altitude thrills.
The town has grown to be one of Switzerland’s largest ski resorts, with five major ski areas surrounding it: Schatzalp/Strela, Parsenn, Pischa, Jakobshorn, and Rinerhorn. These areas together offer about 300km of prepared pistes, ensuring a diverse skiing experience for everyone.
The largest of these areas, Parsenn & Weissfluhjoch, stands as a testament to the modern skiing infrastructure of Davos, with funiculars and chair lifts providing seamless access to the slopes. This well-connected terrain is a playground for skiers and snowboarders alike, offering a variety of runs catering to different skill levels. Moreover, Davos, along with the more village-like Klosters, shares a large ski area known as “Davos Klosters,” boasting 320km of mostly intermediate-friendly runs.
Not just confined to skiing, Davos is home to six separate ski areas, three on the north side of the valley and three to the south, each with its unique charm and skiing experiences. The resort is also famed for its modern lifts, which ensure a smooth skiing experience across these vast ski areas. The international dining scene in Davos is another feather in its cap, with a plethora of eateries offering a taste of global cuisines, adding a delightful culinary aspect to your skiing holiday.
The charm of Davos Ski Holidays extends beyond the slopes into the rich cultural and natural beauty the area holds. While the town may be known for its international gathering of world leaders, it’s the unspoiled natural beauty, the modern ski facilities, and the warm Swiss hospitality that leaves a lasting impression on those who come to ski in Davos. With every slope you conquer, you’re not just skiing; you’re becoming a part of the rich skiing heritage Davos is known for.

Certainly! In Switzerland, there are numerous beginner-friendly ski slopes. If you’re hesitant about skiing solo, we recommend enrolling in a ski school program. There, you’ll learn to ski in a group setting under the guidance of a professional instructor, which is a great way to improve your skills.
The prime skiing season in Switzerland typically spans from December to late April, which is when the weather conditions are most favourable. Swiss ski resorts often commence operations as early as November, yet the number of open trails is contingent upon snowfall. It’s possible that some of the connecting trails to other resorts may not yet be accessible.
