Description
Mürren, often referred to as one of the most charming villages in the Alps, invites you to a ski holiday that is as rich in tradition as it is in skiing adventures. Nestled in the quaint Jungfrau region of Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland, Mürren has been a cherished ski destination since 1922 when the world’s first slalom races were held here.
The town’s history is beautifully preserved in the classic mountain design of the chalets and the unique Mürren dialect still spoken by the locals. The traditional charm is complemented by over 200km of well-groomed slopes, offering a diverse range of skiing experiences set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains.
One of the distinctive features of Mürren is its car-free status, ensuring a peaceful and leisurely ambience that is hard to find in other ski resorts. The village is accessed only by cable car, which adds to the uniqueness of the Mürren ski experience.
Once there, the tranquil streets and the serene alpine setting provide a perfect retreat for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Despite its tranquil demeanour, Mürren offers a thrilling ski experience, especially for intermediate to advanced skiers who can explore challenging off-piste adventures and exhilarating vertical descents. The ski area, although not vast, promises breathtaking panoramic views that are sure to leave a lasting impression.
The peaceful streets, the traditional chalets, the charming locals, and the breathtaking alpine views, all contribute to a ski holiday that is as enriching as it is exhilarating. The various ski terrains, the historic charm, and the unique car-free ambience of Mürren provide a ski holiday experience that is both unique and unforgettable.

Certainly! In Switzerland, there are numerous beginner-friendly ski slopes. If you’re hesitant about skiing solo, we recommend enrolling in a ski school program. There, you’ll learn to ski in a group setting under the guidance of a professional instructor, which is a great way to improve your skills.
The prime skiing season in Switzerland typically spans from December to late April, which is when the weather conditions are most favourable. Swiss ski resorts often commence operations as early as November, yet the number of open trails is contingent upon snowfall. It’s possible that some of the connecting trails to other resorts may not yet be accessible.
